Cards of Change

Feeling the winds of change blowing? If you are currently caught in the middle of a major life transition, tarot cards can offer you guidance as you navigate the path ahead. Knowing what kind of changes you are facing and the factors involved will help you gain clarity and insight in the midst of fast-moving energies. So don’t let yourself get swept up in the storm; take a moment to pull out a tarot deck and assess exactly what type of transitions you are facing. When you get one of the cards below in a reading, change is definitely at hand. Read on to discover what types of experiences and situations you might encounter.

MINOR ARCANA
The Minor Arcana cards of change concern day to day transitions that may signal a larger change to come, or may just mean that you are going to have a busy week or month. These cards bring in new energy:

Ace of Wands -- A new project or action that you have taken or are thinking about taking. This card can mean that change is possible, once you take the first step.

Three of Wands -- Movement with other people. The energy between you is fluid, giving you plenty of opportunity to make things happen.

Eight of Wands -- This card represents a culmination point of some kind. You may receive word that something you have been working on is near completion.
Ace of Swords-A change of mind. This card presents an opportunity to get a new perspective or take a different viewpoint, which can lead to a whole new path opening up ahead of you.

COURT CARDS
The Court Cards indicate that a person or part of yourself is working to bring about change in your life. Pay attention to what they offer and see if it matches up with your own desires and needs right now:

Knight of Wands -- Charismatic and charming, the Knight of Wands may sweep you off your feet, romantically or otherwise. Take your time to see if his actions are in alignment with your goals and dreams.

Knight of Swords -- This Knight has the gift of words and may offer you new insights and ideas that force you to open or change your mind. Observe if his actions match his words before moving forward.

MAJOR ARCANA
The Major Arcana cards represent big life changes, like birth, marriage, moves or job transitions. When they show up in a reading, you can be sure that you will be asked to alter your life in some way.

The Chariot -- Sometimes indicates a major move, usually one that you have been expecting for awhile.

Death -- This card rarely indicates that an actual death is at hand. More often, it means that it is a time for releasing old patterns in your life and letting go.

The Tower -- Sudden changes, which can be both positive or challenging arise, but they occur unexpectedly and you will need time to make sense of them.

Wheel of Fortune -- Opportunities come up to take a new path or direction.
